Assessment task-Bond poster
The advertising poster for the film James Bond uses the media type of film industry seemingly targeted at a mature audience of males around eighteen to forty year olds. The image used in the poster would attract this target audience well through the use of the subtle images like the gun in the hand of who appears to be James Bond the protagonist. This may hint to the audience who sees this poster that the film will contain violence and fast paced action. This could also tie into the formal clothing worn by the character as the striking black suit imposes authority as well as the stereotypes of a spy movie. The camera work in the image is a mid-shot and it is used to capture the whole image of the characters and the bold large numbers of 007,this allows the large symbol of a gun in the letter seven to be shown, along with the vibrant colours which makes the font more appealing as it contrasts with the costumes of the characters.
The character seen behind Bond appears to conform with the stereotypes of this genre of film as her positioning is placed subtly behind the shoulder of Bond to make her presence viewed second to the males in the image. This could link to her being a sidekick to Bond as he is the one with the weapon in his hand, also her costume is rather more attractive and well put together which could alternatively make her the princess. This could be seen as stereotypical because in action adventure film women are seen as being weaker and far more inferior to men. This stereotypical representation is supported by her positioning as she stands in a position that infers she is acting as a support to James Bond and is merely a shadow to the real protagonist.

Me and the media
My relationship with the media in particular film is strong as i enjoy watching new films quite regularly.I usually go to the cinema to watch newly released films or i find using Netflix of other movie streaming apps such Amazon prime easier. My favourite genre of film is definitely horror. The other form of media i use regularly is social media as i use it as a means of communicating with my friends.
